Two arrested for cheating job aspirants in Delhi

A staff from Delhi’s Cyber Police Station East District has arrested two individuals who duped folks on the pretext of offering jobs. They charged as much as Rs 70,000 as a processing charge.

Police mentioned the matter got here to mild when a lady, Anjali Kashyap, a resident of Mandawali, narrated her plight.

Kashyap, who was in search of a job, acquired a name from an individual claiming to be the consultant of a distinguished information channel in July.

He promised her a job in a information channel as a reporter and took Rs 60,000 and stopped taking her calls and blocked her quantity. A case beneath related sections of the Indian Penal Code was registered and the investigation was entrusted to SI Talwinder Singh.

Through the investigation, name element information, financial institution accounts, and transaction particulars of the accused individuals had been procured. It was revealed that the accused had been positioned within the Dilshad Backyard space of Delhi.

Later, two folks, 26-year-old Vishal of Janta Flats in Dilshad Backyard and 24-year-old Arbaz Khan of Shaheed Nagar in UP’s Ghaziabad had been arrested.

On sustained interrogation, the accused disclosed that they used to select particulars of job aspirants from distinguished job portals. They mentioned they used to contact job aspirants on the telephone claiming to be representing a job placement company operating beneath a distinguished information channel and dupe them. Then they used to dupe them by charging cash on varied pretexts.
