A former college trainer has been arrested within the Malappuram district of Kerala for allegedly molesting greater than 60 college students in 30 years and an inquiry has been ordered into this incident.

KV Sasikumar, a former trainer at St. Gemmas Women Increased Secondary Faculty in Malappuram and a member of the Malappuram Municipality Council, was arrested by the police on Friday.

In the meantime, Kerala Schooling Minister V Sivankutty ordered an inquiry into this incident. The minister ordered Public Schooling Director Babu Okay IAS to research the faults of the college administration and submit the report because the earliest.

Sasikumar went absconding after a case was registered on the Malappuram Ladies’s Police Station underneath the POCSO part. The police may arrest the trainer solely after per week.

A criticism had been lodged in opposition to Sasikumar for molesting college students when he was a trainer at college. Greater than 50 college students have lodged complaints in opposition to him.

KV Sasikumar, a CPM chief and a three-time Malappuram Municipal Councilor, retired from the St. Gemmas Women Increased Secondary Faculty in March 2022. The primary ‘#MeToo’ allegation was made by one of many college alumni following Sasikumar’s Fb submit about his retirement from educating.

INACTION OF THE SCHOOL MANAGEMENT

In line with the college alumni affiliation, some college students had filed a criticism in opposition to Sasikumar in 2019 however the college administration did not take any motion in opposition to him. The alumni affiliation had approached the Malappuram district police chief with extra complaints.

Following these incidents, Sasikumar, a member of the CPI(M) department committee, was expelled from the social gathering.
