The governments of Punjab and Haryana on Saturday took a choice to call the Chandigarh Worldwide Airport after Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

The choice was taken throughout a gathering held between Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Haryana Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala.

Bhagwant Mann took to Twitter and wrote in Hindi, “Punjab and Haryana agreed to call Chandigarh’s Worldwide Airport after Shaheed Bhagat Singh ji. Had a gathering with Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on this subject as we speak.”

After the implementation, the airport shall be referred to as Shaheed Bhagat Singh Airport.
